It’s a Slam Dunk!
The joy was off the charts when these kids got their first-ever pair of sneakers this week (and for some, their first-ever shoes)!
So much of life for kids in rural Uganda is hard for us to even imagine. I'm a bit choked up seeing the pics and just telling you about it!
Several months ago, we teamed up with Gorilla Hoops Basketball Academy to help get their sports program for vulnerable children started in Kamuli.
This week, thanks to several donors through our DonorSee platform, the kids received new (to them) sneakers, basketballs and other supplies for the program.

We Keep Going!
What makes you optimistic? I know that can be a tough question these days.
Thanks to all of you, we see progress. Sometimes it's slow, and sometimes there are setbacks. However, the success we see keeps us focused on the programs that are breaking the generational cycle of poverty.
So, here's the good that you make possible!

Pay Day
Seeing the reaction when one of our woman business owners, like Keziya above, gets paid for her hard work fills me with joy, and I hope it does the same for you. Your support is what makes this happen! This week, the weavers in our women's Kisakyamukama business group received cash in hand from the sale of several of their baskets and other items. This is one of the groups selling at our craft store in Kamuli town.

A Tree Grows in Kamuli
Educating about the environment with our school gardens and planting trees is one of our sustainable programs to break the cycle of poverty and ensure our children's legacy!
