Betty is 14 years old. She's a child who had a child four months ago. When I write about situations like this, I often say that “she became pregnant in very difficult circumstances.” She was a victim of violence.
Village to Village
Here are just some activities that are happening in the villages this week that all of you make possible.
Three Months In
It's hard to believe the first three months of 2025 are gone! You all have made so much change happen for many children and families!!
Here is a recap of just some of what you have made possible so far this year.
Connecting Cultures
Singing, dancing, and laughing together! That's just some of what 5th-grade students in the U.S. and Uganda were doing this week in a live video visit.
Very Important Progress
t always makes me happy when I can give you good news! There are so many times when we see such incredible poverty in Uganda. But when we know that we've been able to make a difference it's cause for celebration, and that difference is because of you.
The Center is Buzzing!
Things are really hopping at our Girl's Vocational Center in Buwudha village! This is our 3rd year at this location. Thanks to all of you, the girls have a place to go where they can learn and get support!
Women Paving the Way
Meet Nangobi Sharifa! She's a single mother who belongs to the Muno Mukabi women's community savings group in Kamuli, Uganda.
A Path to Independence
If you've ever started your own business you know that feeling of excitement when you open the doors! Well, our women and girls were overjoyed as the new Kisa Kyamukama shop opened for business and this is all thanks to you!
It was just about a year ago that the women's group received materials to start a weaving cooperative in Buterimire village. Since then, these women have been meeting regularly to create mats, tablecloths, and other knitted items.
The Bridge to Success
They do celebrate Valentine's Day in Uganda and we wanted to send some love to you, our donors, from some of our recent Bridge to Success projects that you've made possible.
