A New School Year!

Kuluthum had to leave school when her elderly grandmother could no longer afford her tuition.  She came to us to ask for help. Thanks to your donations, she will now be able to go back to school.  It won't be easy for her since she's missed two years. But she is very determined to succeed!

There's a buzz in the air as kids in Uganda get ready to go back to school next week. They're just finishing their summer vacation and the new year goes from February until November.

Tough Questions

January has been a tough month! I wrote about the loss of our Shamim a couple weeks ago.  On Saturday, 17-year-old Margret lost her baby boy shortly after his birth. With the quick action of our team and the support of our donors, she was able to deliver in a clinic. However, the baby had complications, and there is no neonatal intensive care in rural Uganda. What a Difference a Year Makes!

Last year at this time, I was asking for support for some children In Uganda who were orphaned and desperately wanted to go to school.

You rose to the challenge and we raised enough to send 12 children to school.  As the results come in from the various schools they are in, we are excited that so far all have passed to the next grade.
