From Plan to Harvest in 76 Days!

Joyce and her grandchildren with the harvest!

I wish you could see Joyce's garden in person.

Three months ago, it was just a plan. Today, it is feeding her grandchildren.

In just 76 days, they harvested their first crops of amaranth, collard greens, and onions. Now the garden is full, with vegetables growing in raised beds and containers across her compound.

And here is what changed everything.

There is now enough food for the family. And Joyce is already selling the surplus for income!

They are also raising goats, adding another layer of stability.

This works.

In Kamuli District, many children are being raised by elderly grandparents like Joyce, who are doing everything they can, but still don't have enough food or resources. It is too difficult for the Jajas (grandmothers) to work in the fields far from home anymore.

We are using Joyce's garden as the model to plan 30 more across nearby villages for families in the most need.

The demand is there. The path is clear. What we are building is simple, practical, and sustainable.

Right now, we are building partnerships with businesses, groups, and individuals who want to help bring more gardens like this to life.

If you have a connection to someone who cares about sustainable agriculture, food security, or practical solutions like this, I would love to connect. You can reply right to this email.

Grateful you are part of this!

Mary

P.S. One garden changed everything for Joyce's family. We are ready to GROW that impact.  Who do you know who would want to help bring more of these gardens to life? (Garden centers, clubs, avid gardeners?
