Alright, Alright, Alright!

Yes, I heard Matthew McConaughey giving an interview the other day, and of course, he said his famous tag line. But, it's exactly what I was feeling recently when two new monthly donors joined us as Legacy Leaders! Welcome!!

 Now two more girls will be able to get an education. 

 We have 30 girls in our vocational program right now. In a few of our Blog Posts, I've brought you some of their stories. You might remember Ruth, Maureen, and Betty.

Each of these girls has a life story where they have dealt with incredible challenges, some too disturbing to fully describe to you.  But because of our wonderful community of donors, the girls found their way to our vocational center in Buwudha village. 

Without us, without you, they would be in unimaginable circumstances.

This is their only chance—and it starts with us showing up, month after month.

Janet, pictured above, came to us when she was 12 years old. This is her story:

Janet’s mother suffers from mental illness and struggles to care for her.  Janet only went to primary school for a few years. Some relatives took her in when a community member saw how neglected she was. Unfortunately, the relatives made her work long days digging in the gardens in the hot sun and with little food. Finally, a local councilwoman saw Janet's condition and referred her to our program.  Our team members met with the relatives and explained that children have human rights and that mistreatment would lead to the involvement of law enforcement and arrest. 

Janet has now been in our program for two years. She is healthy, happy, and has a vision for her future. Without our center, Janet most likely would have been a victim of forced early marriage and teen pregnancy.

Our monthly donors, our Legacy Leaders, made this possible for Janet and other girls.

When we stand together, no girl is left behind. Your monthly gift is more than a donation—it's a promise that she gets the education she deserves.
