We partner with communities in rural Uganda to support girls and women facing poverty, violence and early marriage - providing education, health care and economic tools that lead to lasting change for their families and future generations.
Our support for youth outperforms national statistics in terms of school completion, health and well-being, and careers that are self-supporting.
Our Programs
-
Education & Training
We run a Girls Vocational Center that helps young women and girls learn practical, in-demand skills like tailoring and hairdressing. The center provides a safe, supportive place outside Kamuli where students gain confidence, community and the tools to earn a living.
Learn More -

Reproductive Health
Many girls in rural Uganda lack basic reproductive health education and supplies, forcing them to miss school or face shame and isolation. Our nurse and social worker travel to remote communities to teach reproductive health, promote women’s rights and distribute reusable menstrual kits - helping girls stay healthy, informed and in school.
-

Savings and Business Groups
Our Women’s Economic Empowerment Program helps women turn determination into income. Through business training, small loans and community savings groups, women start and grow local businesses that support their families and build financial independence. We currently support seven savings groups, some of which include men.
-
Support for Individuals and Families
When families face a crisis, we partner with local communities to offer stability while long-term solutions are developed. Support may include food assistance, school fees and supplies, home repairs, clothing or small business support - meeting urgent needs with dignity and care. We also support food security by working with families to build high-yield kitchen gardens for year-round food.
-

Youth Mentorship
We support the Gorilla Hoops Basketball Academy, founded by Joseph Ssozi, which uses basketball to mentor young people and develop leadership skills. Through teamwork, discipline and play, youth build confidence and a sense of belonging.
-

Connecting Cultures
We partner with classrooms in Uganda and the United States to connect students across cultures. Through shared stories, conversations and creative projects, young people learn from one another and grow as global citizens committed to positive change.
