It's been a busy week for our team in Uganda as they deliver supplies to the communities, and that is all thanks to you!  

Patience, a teen girl in Kamuli, Uganda, was in danger of having to drop out of school. She was fearful that each day of classes would be her last and that she'd be sent home because her tuition was overdue. 

The best part about being a teacher is talking to former students and hearing what they are up to!  It makes all the long days and sleepless Sunday nights worth it.  Now that I've retired from teaching, I especially love it when I run into my former students.

Pure joy! That's what you see on the faces of Mirabu's 11 grandchildren when Hilda and Amnsi delivered food to them this week.

The Bamukisa women’s savings group met recently for a day of thanksgiving, organized by Betty Dhizaala. Betty is the director of Kapida which helps us deliver our programs in Kamuli, Uganda.

A few weeks ago I told you about Joyce and her four grandchildren who were in some of the most impoverished circumstances we have seen. The children were abandoned by their parents and left with Joyce with no resources to get by. The children's clothes were in tatters. They had little food and their house was barely standing with no roof.

I'm so happy to let you know that our team member Aminsi and his wife Doreen welcomed their first child! Baby girl Arena entered the world in Kamuli, Uganda on June 29th.

In the first 6th months of this year, we have helped more children than ever before and that is all thanks to you!!
