The Top 5 Reasons We Shine

Three of our team members, Hilda, Annet, and Aminsi reviewing and planning!

The other day I was talking to Christina, a supporter of ours for the past two years, and she said she was recently telling a friend why she gives to CLP. She also said that we should toot our own horn more as an organization.

It made me stop and think!

So today, I thought I'd share with you what we do well as an organization to help the most vulnerable children, and what makes us unique.

1. Your donations go quickly to our programs and projects- I mean within days!  We don't have layers of decision makers. We have programs in place that we know are working to lift children out of poverty, and your donations go to support those.

2. We provide video and photo follow-up so that donors can actually see the impact of their donation - and hopefully experience the joy too!

3. Our team works within the communities in rural Uganda, asking people what is going well, what they are proud of, and what their challenges are. Then, programs and projects are devised to meet those challenges, all with the input and collaboration of the community members. It really is a partnership.  Our team also follows up with our hundreds of children, schools, and families to help ensure continued progress.

4. We are the only organization in many of the rural communities in Kamuli district providing support for teen girls and mothers.  This includes period supply kits and reproductive health education. Our team in Uganda sees these programs that educate and train mothers as critical to breaking the generational cycle of poverty.  No one else is coming to help these forgotten teen girls, we and you are it.

5. We are in a unique position to be able to bring Ugandan culture to schools and other organizations in the U.S. through live video visits. We've also had students do a cultural letter exchange.  Students and teachers tell us all the time how powerful this connection is. As a teacher, I always felt it was important for our students to understand cultures in other parts of the world.

But wait, there's more:

6. Weekly email updates keep donors informed and let you know the ongoing impact of your donations.

7. Our online donation process is easy, and donors receive a receipt and thank you quickly.

8. We are always looking at ways to improve and have the biggest impact with the resources we have.

And- we have YOU! The best donors and supporters who partner with us and invest in the future of children.

Thank you for all you do! Now, go toot your own horn because you are AMAZING!

With Gratitude,

Mary

P.S.- I love to talk about Ugandan culture and the work we do. If you have a school, organization, or a group of friends you'd like me to present to and then have a live cultural exchange from Uganda, just send me an email, and I'll be in touch
