Class of 2026!
Julie is one of the new girls at our Vocational Center
This week, we started welcoming the new students to our Girls' Vocational Center!
I wish you all could be there in person to see the difference you make!
To see that glimmer of hope when so much of their lives has been difficult and dangerous fills our hearts.
Resty, Jamira, and Mary are also new students in the tailoring course. Both Resty and Jamira are young mothers and are victims of domestic violence. In addition to learning tailoring skills, they will learn about their rights and how to advocate for themselves. They will now have a strong network of others to stand by their side!
You made this possible!
You have made a life-changing difference for these girls.
Hilda and the team are continuing to welcome all of the girls into our programs. Hilda does an intake with each of the girls to learn about their background and their goals.
You'll get to learn more about the girls' stories in the coming months.
I was talking to a friend just yesterday about how we can fall into the trap of thinking we are helpless to make change in a world where there is so much need. But we are doing it. You are doing it!
Our programs are funded solely by individual donations. It is people like you coming together and giving what they can.
It's what we all do together that fuels change!
With Gratitude,
Mary
P.S. You can be part of making a difference for these girls.
